Depends on the algae. Roughly speaking (this is not exhaustive), these are some of the major algal groups:
because they are so hard to classify
Seaweeds are classified into three major groups; the green algae, the brown algae, and the red algae. Placement of seaweed into one of these groups is based on the pigments and colouration existing in the plant. Other seaweed features that are used to classify algae include: cell wall composition, reproductive characteristics, and the chemical nature of the photosynthetic products. Plant structure, form and shape are additional characteristics used to classify seaweed.
WHich group would you classify -3
Lichen are formed by the co-location and inter-dependency of certain kinds of fungi and algae.
Multicellular algae are classified as Protists. Refer to Biology, 7th Edition, by Sylvia S. Mader, McGraw Hill, 2001, pp. 528-532, 559.circle with lines in the middle:)
Because scientists and algae dont mix. Also becaust alge doesnt really have a group (animal, plant etc) so they can't classify it, which annoys them.
I think you would classify it as a prokaryote
I would classify the starry nite as peace luv hope trust & beauty
Actually, algae is defined as being:primitive chlorophyll-containing mainly aquatic eukaryotic organisms lacking true stems and roots and leaveswordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn Algae is not a plant; however, it is likely a common ancestor to many plants. Scientists have difficulty agreeing on how to classify algae, but currently they are considered to be cyanobacteria (blue and green), while other algae types are considered to be of the Kingdom Protista.
you would classify a living thing as a bio or and animate object
