The race relations in current times have indeed gotten better, however I think that there is a long way to go. There is still a good amount of racism that exist amongst us. There are stereotypes (which are never going to end), prejudices, racial profiling and a host of other things that display the ignorance of people. I think that now a days, the topic of race relations is rather emotional. It's not a casual conversation that you could have with someone without feelings getting involved. On the surface everyone seem to get along, but there is definitely underlying racism present.
