the fuel filter is located under the vehicle , drivers side, in front of the fuel tank..... mounted on the chassis in the fuel line........
The 2009 Ford F-150 has a lifetime fuel filter that is integrated with the fuel tank . Replacement is not required

I have a 96 f-150 which was the last year of your bodystyle in the f-150 varient. My fuel filter canister on the passenger side between the wheels bolted to the frame rails. I would assume since they are nearly identical trucks that I would start there.

The filter is on the carburetor ,the fuel line from the fuel pump connects to it. Remove the fuel line , using a wrench on the filter as well to keep it from turning , then remove the filter (steel) from the carburetor .
