I'm not a mechanic / technician but I was looking at a drawing on one of
Fords websites and it shows for a 1992 Ford Thunderbird , 5.0
( the Air Charge Temperature sensor is screwed into the lower intake
manifold on the DRIVERS SIDE of the intake manifold , it's NEAR the front
of the manifold )
* and it has a wiring connection to it
Code P0113 indicates a intake air temperature sensor circuit high output. Check the connection to the intake air temperature sensor and if that is fine consider replacing the intake air temperature sensor.
On a 2002 Ford Thunderbird : Bank 1 is the passenger side of the 3.9 liter V8 engine Sensor 1 would be close to the engine BEFORE the exhaust enters the catalytic converter
i would check for vacuum leaks first but there is an idle august screw on the air intake wear the throttle cable connects to the intake
On your 1997 Ford Thunderbird , 3.8 liter V6 : Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine Sensor 2 would be AFTER the exhaust has passed through the catalytic converter
When you open the hood the IAT (intake air temp) sensor is embedded in the air intake snorkel before the intake throttle body. If you were to take the air intake off you would have to take off the MAF (mass airflow sensor) connector and the IAT in order to do so.
The intake air temperature sensor on a Geo Prism would be a part of the air intake system. More specifically, it would be on the engine side of the air cleaner housing.
That would probably be the intake maf sensor or intake air sensor, if it doesn't detect air flow it shuts off the fuel
On a 1994 Ford Thunderbird , 4.6 liter V8 : Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine Sensor 1 would be close to the engine before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter
your map sensor is on the left side of the intake manifold next to theiat sensor it would be the one that is more at the corner near the back its all black your map sensor is on the left side of the intake manifold next to the iat sensor it would be the one that is more at the corner near the back its all black
INTAKE MANIFOLD, AND OR GASKET LEAKING! IT CAN BE EASILY TESTED BY ANY AUTO REPAIR SHOP.
It is located on the intake on the number 2 intake runner. This would be on the front passenger side of the engine. It is a big brass sensor with two wires comming off it. Hope this helps.
Crank sensor is in the top of the transmission housing at the back of the engine. Cam position sensor is in the distributor.
