Some glass is made when liquids are "supercooled" below their freezing point. The ice may stiffen and become glass. The particles in glass are arranged more randomly than normal solids.
We use glass because so we can make equipment. Life would be a little different without glass.
No it is not because if it was then we wouldn't drink out of it we would use it to make glass
psssshhhhhhhhhhhhtttttt......
Great question to think about ! Seems to me that if the expansion of glass were greater than the expansion of mercury, then you could easily make thermometers. But when you calibrated them, they would turn out different from what we have now, because the warmer temperatures would be marked lower on the glass, and the cooler temperatures would be marked higher on the glass.
IDK...but who would make a road of glass...it would pop all your tires...it would be a very stupid idea.
Glass
A bartender would make a "bomb" by pouring a glass of one drink and providing a shot glass of another, usually a spirit, to be dropped into the glass and drunk as one. A common bomb is the jagerbomb made by poring a glass of red bull and dropping a shot of jagermeister in.
Plastic shelving would be better in a freezer than glass because the extreme cold would make the glass more brittle and thus more likely to break.
It would make it heavy and the glass would have to be super clean in order for the picture to shine through right.
