I would put out fire safely in a science lab by spreading Carbon di oxide gas on the fire
when fire is in the lab, you should get anybody out of there safely. then, extinguish the fire if you can or call the fire brigade.

you can wear safety gogles and remember to always be careful with everything that you are doing.
It is important to listen to your teacher in a science lab because there is some very dangerous stuff in there which could harm you, so if you listen to your teacher, she/he can tell you what to do but safely!

The science lab in my High School, has both a fire blanket and a fire extinguisher to deal with fires. We have more safety equipment than that- but that's what we'd use incase of fire.
The word Lab in the terms of science (not the dog) is Laboratory.
