To show a highway or road on a map, you will see it just shows a thinish or thickish line. That's what a highway,or road should look like on a map that you will look at and see.

can you show me the map of the Silk Road in Asia?
Let me think about it.
A road map of Washington D.C. would likely show greater detail compared to a road map of Canada. The smaller geographical area of Washington D.C. allows for more detailed mapping of roads, landmarks, and points of interest within the city, whereas a road map of Canada would cover a much larger area and may not include as much detailed information at a local level.
A route highway map must (obviously) show the roads in an area, particularly the main through routes.
No it doesn't show elevation. I was looking for it too but it doesnt seem like it to me.
All planimetric maps show roads, but a road map is not planimetric (unless its like a real crappy map)

Distances and where the roads go. American road maps tend not to show physical features such as mountains.
On a map highways are always a lot wider than the other roads and are sometimes a different colour. Such as red.Open in Google Docs ViewerOpen link in new tabOpen link in new windowOpen link in new incognito windowDownload fileCopy link addressEdit PDF File on PDFescape.com
