i wouldn't swap it, the 87 is carbureated and the prelude is fuel injected, just put the same engine in. the 87 accord engine has less hp .

Provided the '97 Prelude is a base model, then yes it is possible to swap in an H22a variant. The Prelude Type SH motor is different as the ATTS unit is connected to the motor. So, the only compatible H22a motors would be one from another Type SH, or the JDM Honda Prelude Type S motor.

yes it can. You are actually able to fit the following motors in 91 accord: f22a1, f22a2, f22b2, h22a1, h23a1, and with some work the k24a... Keep in mind you need the matching transmission for the corresponding motor. in reality you can really get any Honda motor any Honda as long as the displacement is close.. A crazy motor swap would be a k20a or k20z.. there would be some work, required, but this isn't bad for 200hp...

No Transmissions are usually car specific. You cant take a longer trans, and throw it on a smaller car... It would depend on what motor you have on the crx and what motor the prelude tranny came off from. I believe the 5 speed manual transmission on the prelude will mate up to both the 1.8L and 2.0L Prelude engine. So if your crx has either of those engines then you should be good to go.

I use regular ngk spark plugs BUT i have a f22b motor from an accord in my prelude which isn't high compression like the h23a that i had in it or the h22a in that case i would use the ngk or denso iridium spark plugs. You can buy them at any automotive store (though some stores might have to order them. You can find them for cheaper online too).
