1) Go to any PC at a PokeCenter.
2) Choose an empty box to store the desired Pokemon.
3) Change box to another empty one.
4) While it's saving - When it says "Please do not turn off the power" - turn off the power.
5) Turn it back on.
6) Now there should be one in your party and one in the PC.

The best glitch was the Pokemon copy cheat. And if i remember correctly since your Pokemon could hold items you clone items as well as with that method. I was cloning Pokemon like crazy for weeks and weeks. I had 212 Pokemon on my silver version and 204 on my crystal version. I had no childhood because of Pokemon.
