Flip the lever on the side of the seat. That will release the seat. Pull the seat out. The bike only folds one way so if you are having a hard time making it fold then you are trying to make it fold the wrong way. After folding, put the seat back. The handle bars also fold so flip the lever by the handle bars and they will also move to allow you to throw your bike in the back of a sports car.....if you have a sports car :)
