Female Zebra's mature earlier than Males and may even have their first foal when they are 3 years old. Males dont get an opportunity to breed until they are around 6 years old. Zebra's live as a group which is usually headed by a Zebra Stallion. The Stallion gets to mate with all the females in his harem that are in heat. Younger more stronger males can dethrone a lead stallion and take over his group. Mares may give birth to one foal every year or so. Foals live their mothers for around a year and then leave to fend off on their own.
A Zebra just isn't a Horse.. If They reproduce they cant produce fertile offspring
A Hinny cannot reproduce.
The gestation period of a zebra is anywhere from 360 to 390 days. The mare then nurses her foal for up to 12 months.
As they are animals they reproduce sexually.
The zebra top shell is in the family of Trochidae and most Trochidae reproduce by expelling sperm and eggs into the water for external fertilisation. In other species, the female lays a gelatinous egg-mass which is the early stages of larval development.
You would get a cross breed a striped horse most likely.Horse/Zebra crossbreeds are called Zorse or Hebra; Pony/Zebra crossbreeds are called Zony; and Donkey/Zebra crossbreeds are called Zonkey. They are all hybrids, and can't reproduce.
Zebra swallowtails are helpful to the earth and the ecosystems they inhabit. Zebra swallowtails, along with many other species of butterfly, help to pollinate flowers which allows the flowers to reproduce and continue to thrive.
There are studies on how the reproductive cycle could be interrupted. However, it has not been successfully done yet. Zebra mussels are invasive, and reproduce very quickly.
Most sharks reproduce sexually, but hammerhead and zebra sharks are both able to produce asexually after not seeing a male for years! Thanks for asking!
Zebra maturity is measured as when they are able to reproduce. Mares often have their first offspring at the age of three years. Males are five or six years old before they breed.
None. All sharks reproduce sexually.
In the wild, horses and zebras do not reproduce with each other. However, people have been cross breeding these two branches of the equine family since the 19th century. Any zebra hybrid is refered to as a zebroid, whether it be with a horse or any other member of the equine family. More specifically, the offspring of a male zebra and female horse is called a zorse, and the offspring of a male horse and female zebra is called horbra. A male zebra crossed with a female pony (a horse measuring less than 14.2 hands high at the withers) is a zony.
