The quick way to determine roughly yearly income based on an hourly salary is to multiply it by 2, and think of it as thousands. For $7.80 per hour that would be around $15,600.

This is based on an assumption of 50 working weeks in a year, 40 hours per week. For a full 52 week, all holidays and vacations paid position, the difference is still less than 5%, so multiplying by 2 gives a good first approximation.

7.5 x 8.50 gives you your income per day. Assuming you work 5 days a week and given there are approximately 52 weeks in a year just do 7.5 x 8.5 x 5 x 52 to give you your annual income. If you are too lazy to do the math the answer is $16575.
