To swim during your period you need to use one of the following options:
You cannot use tampons before you menstruate 'just in case' because tampons absorb moisture causing vaginal damage that gives bacterial toxins direct access to your bloodstream, without menstrual flow this will be worse and so risks of Toxic shock syndrome are higher. Menstrual cups are a much better option and unlike tampons cups can be worn with light flow or even before your period - also menstrual cups don't increase cramps, absorb water, have anything showing externally, or leak.
If you insert NuvaRing before your period, you may skip that period, or it may be lighter. You also may have bleeding between periods.
Swimming during your period is fine as long as you wear a tampon which should be changed before and after you go swimming
It is fine to swim during your menstrual cycle as well as before or after it.
just tell them you femenime things popped up or say you feel like your gonna puke
no you can not go swimming when your period is heavy. When it is at they very end and its not that heavy your period will not stop in the water, but will be held back. Also, if you go swimming and you have your period when you get out of the pool it might start to drip down your leg.
tampons if you are swimming etc but if in the bath, nothing :)
well actually NO. but I do it anyway.
You can always swim even on your period!
if your on your period before your date then go swimming so it might stop quicker, it depend if it's heavy or not if it's light it will stop but if it's heavy it won't work
Read the package insert for instructions or talk to your ob/gyn for directions.
Yes, it's okay to go in a pool on your period if you have a tampon. You can also use other internal menstrual products while on your period in order to go swimming, for example softcups or menstrual cups - cups are safer than tampons and menstrual cups are a lot more convenient as well as reliable so are a better option than tampons. If you do use tampons be sure to use correct absorbency, time it so you can insert a fresh tampon before swimming, and have a pad on hand ready for when you get out of the water to change into or use as back-up to the tampon.
It is supposedly effective if you insert it on the first day of your actual period. however, if you have spotting, you may not know exactly when that day is. If you insert it at any time other than the first day, there is a 7 day wait for it to take full effect, so I would just insert it whenever and then wait a week before having unprotected sex.
