it could be a number of things...im no diesel mechanic but check your spark plugs and spark plugs wires, it seems your battery is ok if the car turns over...it may not be firing if the car doesnt start...so my 1st guess would be to check if ur getting any spark at the spark plugs there is only glow plugs not spark plugs. were talken bout a diesel right?
try replacing the ignition module inside the distribuetor.
Im sorry i dont know!
make shure the spark plug is getting spark and u have enoguh compression in the enigine. im 14 years old and i kno alot about it for my age
that all depends on the size of the engine, if its a 4 cyl which im assuming it is then it will have four spark plugs, 6 will have 6 and so on and so forth
im not sure if this will help but i had this car could not get started, i gave the car away a a few months latter someone told me one of the spark plugs never got changed. good luck
i have no idea!!! sorry to whoever posted this, but im looking 4 the answer too! A Dodge diesel doesn't use spark plugs. Diesel engines fire on compression. wow i cant believe there is two of you out there.... heres your signs.
Here are possible causes of no spark on the 1980 CM400, starting from the easiest to fix: kill switch turned to "off" position. Bad spark plugs. (It's important to be aware that on this bike, both spark plugs must not be fouled; If either one is fouled enough not to fire, there will be no spark, because the way the system is designed it takes both plugs to complete the ignition spark plug circuit.) Kill switch malfunction, causing the coil to be grounded. Ignition switch malfunction, causing the coil to be grounded. Bad Coil. You've presumably eliminated this, but consider the possibility the new or used coil you obtained could be bad) bad pulser coil or stator. (follow instructions in the shop manual to test these, the manual is available all over the net in .pdf)
mabey bad plug wires or plugs....or rotor in the distributor...but im 16 what do i know
im sorry to say man, but the other 3 spark plugs u cant find, are under the exaust manifol.. its an $800 tune up for these galants.. sucks but its reality.. good luck..You can have the plugs changed for around $500.00. Been there & done it.
