You didn't say what your problems were and if it was because of his job problems (if he has any) but, if you love him then wait. It's never easy to breakup with someone you once loved and normal people don't want to hurt someone they once loved so it's best to be honest and breakup with him now and move on. He'll still get his new job and the world won't come to an end for either of you.
