We got a Garmin Nuvi 350 for Christmas last year and really like it. It's easy to use and really reliable. It's a less expensive one, but for our purposes, it works well.
I would definitely recommend Garmin, they have really high quality products and great customer service, so if anything goes wrong with it you will be taken care of. I have had my Garmin for 2 years and love it.
