IMac my grandson put a password on the computer and now he cant remember it how can i get on or reset the computer?

To reset the password on Mac OS X you need to start up the computer from the original system install disc that came with the iMac. Insert the disc in the disc drive. Restart the computer and hold down the C key until the computer has recognised the disc and has started loading it. Once the desktop has loaded select Reset Password from the Installer (in earlier versions this may be called Utilities) menu at the top of the screen. Select the computers hard disc and then the account that has had the password added to it. Enter a new password. Enter a hint to remind you if you ever forget it again. Restart the computer.
