The power steering pump is located(looking at engine from front of car) on the bottom of the engine on the left side.
The power steering reservoir is at the front of the engine compartment just to the left of your engine oil dipstick when you are looking from the front of the vehicle
on the lower left side of the engine. left and right are determined by sitting in the drivers seat looking forward,, not looking down at the engine.
At the front left side of the engine, if you are looking under the hood.
Looking at the engine on the left side under the A/C compressor . That is the power steering pump. Uses ATF.
On a 1996 Ford Escort : The power steering fluid goes in the power steering fluid reservoir , at the front of the engine compartment , on the passenger side of the vehicle ( looking from the front of the vehicle it is the reservoir on the RIGHT) * With the 1.9 liter engine the reservoir on the left is the engine coolant reservoir and with the 1.8 liter engine the reservoir on the left is the windshield washer fluid reservoir , but with both engines the power steering fluid reservoir is the container to the RIGHT , looking from the FRONT of the vehicle
Could you please be a little more specific on what information you are looking for? If you are looking for a power steering leak, go to your local pars store and purchase the dye that you can add to your power steering fluid, once you add this dye operate the vehicle according to the instructions on the package and then you will use a black light to be able to pin point where the leak is.
the Power Steering reservoir is located in the back left side of the engine as you are looking at it ... look down behind the alternator

Not knowing the year of the car, I would suggest looking at the engine from the passenger side front fender looking across the top of the engine with the hood open. I think you are looking for the power steering reservoir, It should be to your left as you look across. It will have a black cover about two inches around, some have red, or yellow print on them.
