yes there were a few 409's made in 61 but they were rare as the 348 was the big engine back in 61.
I can find no evidence the 409 was installed in any Chevy or GMC truck. The 348 was used in Chevy trucks and the look almost identical to a 409. But, I cannot say positive that Chevy never put one in a truck. Further research is required to give a definitive answer.
Parts and accessories for a 409 Chevy can be found online at eBay Motors. Other helpful websites are JC Whitney, 409 Chevy Performance, and Late Great Chevy.
Depends on the engine installed. Starts with the Blue Flame 6 cylinder that had 90 H.P. and goes up to the 409 V8 with 409 H.P.
Chevrolet never built a 410. They built a 409 but never a production 410. You can buy a 410 aftermarket engine. The 409 was produced from 1961-65.

Yes, the 409 was first produced in 1961 and installed in the Chevy Impala SS. But considering that only 142 cars were equipped with the 409 that year it would be an extremely rare car indeed. I have never seen one in a 1961 Impala. The very next year the 409 was installed in over 15,000 Impalas. The engine was last produced in 1965.
