Yes, you can't ovulate during menstruation but spotting can occur for a few days after menstruation is no longer active - thus you may be ovulating while still spotting.

Has anyone ovulated right after stopping bc pills and then after ovulating had a bit of brown and pink discharge about 6days later then nothing and still no bleeding and ovulating again?

This can happen yes. The spotting is your withdrawal bleed & is nothing to do with Ovulation. If you had conceived you wouldn't be Ovulating but perform a pregnancy test to be on the safe side.

Is pink discharge and cramping a sign of pregnancy?

Sometimes spotting (pink discharge) and mild cramping are signs of implantation of the fertilized egg in the uterus. However, you may be ovulating and experiencing mittelschmerz (middle of the month pain or ovulation pain). Spotting can sometimes occur with ovulation. If you continue to experience spotting and pain, see your physician.

Why have you had spotting for 4 to 5 days after your ovulation day for the last 2 months on exactly the 14th day of your cycle and can you get pregnant then or is this like a period?

you can get pregnant and would not be a period, if the spotting more than light best to see your gynecologist - & don't forget about yearly pap smearsAnswerHello - Im really not sure what could be causing the bleeding. Spotting can be releated to pregnancy or UTI and some women have claimed to experience spotting when ovulating but Im really not sure myself.Because the spotting isn't your actual period then its still possible to get pregnant. As this spotting is abnormal for you, see your doctor for a investigation into the cause of your bleeding. Good luck.

Why are you bleeding one week after your period?

if you are just starting your period then this is totally normal, irregular periods at the start are to be expected. however if you have had a regular period for a very long time (i.e maybe 1 or 2 years) then maybe you should see a doctor but i doubt it is anything to worry about.after i got mine 4 the first time it didnt come back 4 2years or so n i still dont have it

If you have mid cycle spotting because of ovulation does that mean You start ovulation as soon as you begin spotting or when?

Spotting during ovulation is common in most women. The only way to tell if your ovulating is by doing a ovulation predictor kit/test which you can buy from the pharmacist or off Ebay. This will tell you if your ovulating. To expand: The Ovulation Predictor Kits can be a good way to tell if you are GOING to ovulate, but during/after you've ovulated they are no good. The only way to confirm you HAVE ovulated is to make a chart of your Basal Body Temperatures (you take your temp VERY first thing at the same time every morning before you do ANYTHING else, even go pee) or to go to a gynecologist and have them perform an ultrasound to see if you've released any eggs. It IS common to spot a little during/right before ovulation, but heavy bleeding could signify something serious. If you're spotting you're either just about to ovulate, or currently ovulating.(It's about a 12-24 hour window for most women.)
