I cannot hurt my parents by loving a guy whom they don't approve. My sister is doing the opposite. So i decided not to be like her. So i broke up with my boyfriend. was this wrong?

Parents are very intuitive when it comes to some guy seeing their daughter and they must see things in him they don't approve of whereas you love him and, love is blind! Your sister and you are two separate people and you shouldn't use her as an excuse to have to break up with your boyfriend. If you feel your boyfriend is very nice, respectful towards you and treats you very well and is well liked by your friends, then communicate to your parents you don't feel they have given him a chance to prove his worth and ask them if they will invite him over for dinner. If your boyfriend has nothing to hide but being shy and somewhat nervous regarding the invitation he should be happy to comply to the dinner invitation. By doing this you'll see whether your boyfriend loves you enough to meet your parents and prove to them how much he loves you. If he refuses, then you have your answer and you did the right thing for you.
