I cant get my xbox 360 controller to work with vista i have it plugged in to a usb port I downloaded the 360 status but when you turn the Xbox controller it flashes as if it is trying to find the Xbox?

you have to get the wireless gaming adapter that you hook up to your computer via a USB cable. then you can use your controller with your computer.

Look this is the worst thing that can happen than other being broke. When your controller needs charging put it on the charger. It happened to me i kick my every day for not listening and watching the battery power status, the next one you get listen to it that's how your contoller stops working you killed the battery. That's why they give u chargers. The controller will always discharge if you do not set it to automatic off when the PS3 system is turned off on the settings menu. That when you go to play again the battery will be discharged PS3 does not charge when turned off and the USB cable will charge if plugged anything with USB port
