pitting and flaking of the surface
You can expect scabbing to start 2-5 days after your tattoo. Don't panic when ink seems to be flaking off in the scab- this is part of the healing process, and does not affect your tattoo most of the time. It is really important to not pick at the scabbing as your tattoo heals, this can distort the tattoo, and will require touch-ups. Gently apply a scant amount of scent free moisturizer once or twice a day. When you shower, pat dry your tattoo. Scabbing should be almost completely done in 5-7 days, but sometimes you'll still find scabbed tissue- again, don't pick at it, just let it fall off naturally.
I've had cats all my life and have not seen this, but it could be a few things. The cat could have fleas or another parasite. The cat could have a skin condition that is causing flaking or scabbing. This can be cause by allergies, fungal infection, etc. The cat may be rolling in something like dried leaves or maybe seed pods under a bush.

Stone tools in the Stone Age were commonly made using techniques such as percussion flaking, pressure flaking, and grinding. These methods involved striking rocks together to create sharp edges, applying pressure to remove flakes, and grinding stones against each other to shape tools. Different types of stones were used depending on the desired tool and the region's available resources.
