I had porcelain veneers on my bottom teeth 1 week ago is it normal to be in pain ie hypersensitivity my dentist is on vacation thanks?

The teeth on the bottom are much smaller than the teeth on the top. Thus when preping for the veneers he may get close to the root. If the proper care is not taken to protect the tooth from hot or cold you could feel a little hypersensitive. There is a light cured compond which is applied to protect teeth from sencitivity. the veneers are very thin and can transmit hot and cold.
