I have a 1984 GMC JIMMY 4x4 with a 305 in it. I can not find the fuel filter for the life of me anyone know where it is?

It is in the carburetor where the fuel line goes in.

You didn't say what year your Jimmy is, but my '89 has a drop-down door under the front bumper and that's where my oil filter is located. (took me a while to find it). Maybe that'll help.

It is fairly easy. For the 1984 ford econoline, you follow the fuel line. Keep track of where the fuel goes from dirty to clean. The fuel filter has to be between those two spots.
