It probably depends on the Bichon, but my Bichon gets along great with my cat. She was 8 years old when we got the kitten.well i have to cats already do u think the bichon will get along with them
Yea they will get along because cats arent scared of small dogs and a Bichon is a small dog.
Getting along has nothing to do with the breed. It has to do with the cat's personality and each personality is different, so it varries with every cat. :)
Pommeranians. Bichon Frise; mid-sized poodles and Cairns are sturdy little dogs that grow from 15 - 22 lbs. They are small enough to haul around in the car or camping trips; easy to bath and groom and enjoy family and especially children. I use to own a Cairn and she was so good with all ages of children and now I have a 4 year Bichon Frise that is smart as a whip, loves people and little kids and even our cat. These 3 breeds of dogs don't shed, but if your son has asthma then NO dog is adviseable because it's not the shedding but skin dander.
If you are getting a labrador while it is still a puppy, then yes the dog will usually get along with the cat since they will have grown up together. and it also depends if the cat is used to dogs, if not the cat may run from the dog or attack when the dog is near it and they will not get along. My labrador gets along fine with cats, it the cats that don't particularly like my labrador.
Well it mostly depends on the breed of dog. Jack Russels get along with cats alot. Some dogs just like cats. Tip: Put your dog or cat in a create that they can see out of. Put the other outside the create. If they bark or snarl take them away for eachother. If they are comfortable that way try letting them both out of the create.
That is hard and you can't make them. Most older cats do not get along with other CATS! But if kittens are introduce with an older cat they have a better chance of getting along.
I think it depends on the dog and cat's personality and how long they've known each other. If you're just getting a cat 9or golden retriever) then you can ask an expert on how to get them to get along with each other quicker.
static electricity of their fur, like when you rub your hands along the base of a trampoline :)
There is as much of a guarantee of getting a dog to like a cat, or another dog (no matter what gender) as there is me promising you'll love your mother-in-law. It depends on the individual.
Not every dog gets along with a cat. But some do. You should get the cat first if you want a cat and a dog. The dog should be a puppy when you get it.
Domestic cats are easily caught by hand- just bring a towel along, to wrap them up in!
If you have a pet cat and dog and they get used to each other. Then after a while they will get along. Worked with ours.
