I have had toothache for about 2 weeks now and the dentist said it could be sensitivity but it has now led to jaw ache what could this be?

No details on what this dentist knew about the tooth previously.which tooth. your dental past,Which precise day the dentist made the sensitivity assumption and what reason it suddenly flared up due to what cause in the dentists opinion.Could be many things, but pain and swelling are a warning sign something is getting worse and deteriorating day by day.Does it emanate in one tooth.near the gums,perhaps a old filling getting loose,perhaps dental decay in more areas,etc...wish you a happy smile soon.

I guess when you have an emergency for a toothache and your dentist prescribes you an antibiotic, if you run out then you would have to go back to your dentist. The reason for that is, you have too be prescribed the same medication and not mix them. I suggest that you get a refill. The point is, you should not mix the medication.

I can think of no reason why you should not have intercourse afer a tooth extraction. You might not feel like it for a couple of days, even a week for wisdom teeth, but a ban for 3 weeks, this sounds like a very controlling dentist. Could it be that, for lack of a better word, sufficient "sucking" during that time that could cause the sutures to rupture?
