Well actually that's not a good thing, the barbell was too short for the piercing to allow for swelling, the expansion of the piercing hole is and indication of some sensitivity to the metal or the aftercare product you are using. Consider seeing your piercer tomorrow to have them take a look.
yes this is normal...as the piercing has really not got bigger but the swelling has gone down from the piercing!
A 14G tongue piercing is bigger than a 16G tongue piercing. The "G" stands for gauge, with a higher number indicating a smaller diameter. Therefore, a 14G piercing is thicker than a 16G piercing.
Not exactly sure what you mean but it sounds like the jewelry might be to small due to swelling. Try some warm water soaks and taking ibuprofen to help with the swelling. If it gets worse, go to your piercer to get bigger jewelry before it gets embedded.
The tragus piercing has a smaller cartillage when pierced while the rook piercing has a bigger cartilage. So rook has to be the much more painful type of ear piercing.
This all depends on what size needle your piercing artist uses when performing the piercing. But after your piercing is healed, you can stretch the gauge size bigger to fit other jewelry. C:
They have noticed that they are making food and prices bigger
It is not a must, But it is a good idea to use a needle that is slightly bigger than the jewelery you are using to allow for swelling and to also allow air flow so that your fresh piercing heals faster. ergo if you are using a 14 gauge piece of jewelery you should use a 12 or 13 gauge needle.
I am a mom of 3. If you take it out during pregnancy you will be fine, if not your jewelery might stretch the piercing after you get a little bigger and it is not usually reversable.
You can usually find nose rings/posts at 20g or 18g .. remember the bigger the gauge number, the smaller the thickness of the post will be.
Yes, but it's not easy, and the bigger the gauge, the more it hurts to stretch.
No, it will just make the hole bigger and if you let it strink down it may not return back to a normal looking ear piercing.
