I'm a fan of Mario's. They have the best fettucini alfredo.
"You should try Giovanni's, and make sure you try the Lasagna."

Mario's restaurants, I believe there are five in the Palm Springs area, are excellent, authentic and fairly inexpensive. Dine in or take out. Go early, before 5:00, or be prepared to wait up to a half hour for a table. There are several other very good Italian restaurants in the area, some a bit fancier and much more expensive than Mario's, but for great value and authentic Italian cooking Mario's is the place to go.
Lovely seashore, dairies , and some very nice scenery and LOTS of good restaurants, especially Italian food.
