She lied to you. What she did was politely brushing you off. She's too kind to say no or anything to hurt your feelings.

I wouldn't even attempt that at such a young age. 15-17 years old : Highschool....Bud, if that is the case focus on what your doing with your school (as much as that sucks). Just be there as her friend to trust. 18-22 years old : Same logic as above, focus on where you are at, and if she wants to be with you than she will begin to talk to you about it (hopefully).
