you cannot use that head
you will never get the timing in engine right
The head of an 85 4x4 is the same as on 86 2wd pickup are the same on 22r or 22re. the only difference is the fuel pump has been capped off for the 22re. You probably got the head from a 4x4 with a different engine.
Slang short term for Toyota pickup
It has a timing chain ( and there is a short chain in each cylinder head )
Short in the wiring.
On the toyota, you have a little 'diagnostic' box on the left side, if you look under the hood it will tell you which terminals to short out with a wire which disengages the spark advance. I think the yota is set 5 degrees before top dead center.
In short, yes. all 3S-FE's came with timing belts. Timing chains werent used on many of the Toyota S-series motors. hope that helps. http://www.rav4world.com
It has ( 2 ) timing chains ( one chain from the crankshaft to each cylinder head ) The 3.9 liter V8 also has a short chain used with each cylinder head
i believe the long bed is fully 8'0" inside, whereas the short bed is approx 6'0"
The correct timing for that is 10'btdc. but you must short out diagnostics with a paper clip. The correct plugs to short and the timing is on a label located on the inside of your hood. you must short this out to get proper timing so the timing won't advance. i hope that helps. i have a 1990 4 runner as well.
Get a manual on your car to do the job right. In short, you have to pull the timing belt covers and timing belt. Get a manual.
On a Lincoln LS : The 3.0 lire V6 engine has ( 1 ) timing CHAIN to each cylinder head , so there are ( 2 timing CHAINS for the engine ) The 3.9 litre V8 engine has ( 1 main timing CHAIN and there is a short CHAIN in each cylinder head , so the engine has three CHAINS )
i have a 1994 single cab short bed 2wd Toyota with a 2001 5.3L LT1 motor stuffed in it..as long as you have the correct motor mounts and wiring harness your ok...
I was looking at a drawing on one of the Ford websites and it shows for a 2010 Ford Taurus 3.5L V6 engine : There is ( 1 primary chain ) that goes to each cylinder head and each of the ( 2 cylinder heads has a short timing chain that connects the two over head camshafts ) So , all together ( 3 timing CHAINS are used )
