I assume you haven't redeemed the code yet as that would have happened during the installation. You can make an Origin account and add the serial code there to add Dragon Age Origins to your account. You can then do a download from there as though you bought the digital version on Origin itself.
Dragon Age: Awakening is an expansion campaign to Dragon Age: Origins. The data on the disk is just the info needed for the new campaign, however it cannot be used without the game 'framework' provided when you installed Dragon Age Origins.
