Yes, Iceland is generally known as ''the land of ice and fire''. Because this place is cover by ice and here one can see volcanoes too. This year volcano erupted in Iceland which is known as Geldingadalir Fagradalsfjall Volcano. The entire landscape in Geldingadalur underwent a significant facelift due to this volcanic eruption that started on Friday, 19th March. As soon as the word got out, hundreds and thousands of travelers from all over the world started booking tickets and trips to this Nordic nation to feast their eyes with a sight they won’t probably see again in their lifetime. One of my friend had visited this place with a tour (Discover Iceland) guide with proper planning.

Iceland is called "The Land of Fire and Ice" because it contains a lot of ice and volcanoes
The land of frost and fire refers to Iceland and likely comes from the book "Iceland: Land of Fire and Frost" by Olive Murray Chapman. It details the adventures of a woman who crossed Iceland on horseback while the terrain still lacked adequate roads.
