It's possible that there would have been another WikiAnswers. There are now many wikis, and many question and answer websites. However, there is no other major question and answer wiki. There was one that started in 2006 called answerwiki but it didn't go very far.
Chris Whitten is the creator of WikiAnswers. He spent 2007 as the WikiAnswers Director for Answers.com after the site became part of Answers Corp. Chris is currently the webmaster of a new site he is creating called WikiTree.com.
Chris Whitten, the founder of FAQ Farm, which later became WikiAnswers, was most likely the supervisor of the first few categories on the site. Others who would have been supervisors of the early categories are Crystal, Neila222 and RoyR.
Because without the Sun, the planets would never have formed, Earth would never have formed, life would never have formed, so you would never have been born, Chris Whitten would never have been born, so wikianswers would never have existed. So we need the Sun for this question to be answered!
Although opinions will vary, this distinction can easily be given to the original creator - Chris Whitten (user name: Chris). Without him, there might not be a WikiAnswers (and that would be a sad reality for us all).
No that would be Chris Whitten. Though there is some speculation that Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked that question in the face.
Jody wrote a biography for Chris, the inventor of WikiAnswers.
Ted Whitten was born on July 27, 1933 and died on August 17, 1995. Ted Whitten would have been 62 years old at the time of death or 82 years old today.
WikiAnswers evolved slowly, one step at a time, to become the website you see today. It was started in 2002 by Chris Whitten under the name FAQ Farm. The mission was essentially the same as it is today. Users would help each other by asking and answering questions. In 2004 FAQ Farm adapted wiki software. Before it was a wiki, answers on FAQ Farm could only be appended one after another, much as you see on other Q&A sites. In November 2006, a major step forward happened when the site became part of Answers.com. In early 2007 it was renamed WikiAnswers.
I think it's still just Chris. Actually, the full pronunciation would be something like. "I surrender, Chris!"
No Rihanna does not still have feelings for Chris Brown. Rihanna is now dating Matt Kemp and she has said she would love to marry him and she said she is over Chris Brown.
FAQs, the "Frequently Asked Questions" files that were born in USENET groups more than a decade ago, inspired the creation of this site. Chris Whitten originally called it FAQ Farm. (It became wiki in 2004, and WikiAnswers in 2007, after it was acquired by Answers.com.) Chris was inspired by how people would generously answer each other's questions in discussion groups. This got him thinking about FAQs and how they evolved as a way to preserve the valuable Q&A so that the same questions didn't have to be answered over and over again. The problem with FAQs is that they're usually maintained by one person and they disappear or fade away when that person loses interest. Chris decided that with the recent advances in interactive technology something much more dynamic and powerful could be created.
It would be much better if you asked Bebo. WikiAnswers does not keep their records.
