Parents know that childbearing is a painful process, yet still go through multiple deliveries because the joy of having children is greater than the pain of birth and headaches they cause later in life. It is our nature to want children because we want to love them. God is no different. Yet by His loving nature, true love can only be returned if He gives us freewill. He cannot force us to love Him, but we choose to. There are other theological reasons but LOVE is what we can say was His motivation when He created us.
