In the terms of Newton's logic; if there was no force to stop the arrow, the arrow would goforever, this is how far it would ascend, there is no other way there can not be an end, for ending this flight would only happen at all should this arrow miss a door to end up in a wall.

Including thetwo forces that were left out though, gravity and air resistance, it would be hard to tell how far the arrow would go. You would need to know the initial velocity, wind speed, initial height, and time it would take. At that point you could make a quadratic equation, ax2+bx+c,to tell you far it would go.

You can set the thrust idle point, which means that if you pull the levers back beyond that your get reverse thrust.

How much thrust does a rocket need to get to outer space?

Any amount of thrust greater than the total weight of the complete vehicle is enough to do the job, if the thrust lasts long enough and points in the right direction.

Does a aircraft require thrust?

In order to move, that airplane must generate enough thrust to counteract friction and air resistance.

How is lift and thrust used in an airplane?

Lift and thrust are necessary for an aircraft to fly. The thrust (from a propeller or a jet) starts it rolling and when enough windspeed is flowing around the wings, it will lift.

What are different ways to get off the ground and fly?

Have enough lift the overcome weight and enough thrust to overcome drag and you will!

Do you use the word thrust when describing the movement of an aircraft or rocket through the air?

One way is: It takes a lot of thrust to overcome the Earth's gravitational force.

How do paper airplanes use air power?

For forward motion, they don't. They rely on you throwing the airplane in order to thrust the wings through the air fast enough in order to create lift, thereby making them fly.

How does a plane move through the air?

By overcoming gravity with lift and drag with thrust.
