If I took a pregnancy test yesterday that came out negative and about 24 hours later it has not only a faint plus sign on it but also about 4 other vertical lines on it what does this mean?

Discard that test.
Tests should only be read and kept up to 10 minutes after urinating on them.

Home pregnancy test can be wrong but any mark in the result window, even if very faint, is positive for pregnancy. Retake the test...the best time to test is in the morning when your urine is concentrated.
