The relative has to take custody, you can't say that you want to live with them.

Can you have a baby at age 16 without your parents consent?

You put this in Emancipation but having a child does not emancipate you or make you eligable for early emancipation. If you are age of consent in your state you can have sex and yes, you can get pregnant. However, if the parents choose not to help you out, and you will need their help, the CPS can take the child from you since if you can not provide you are a unfit parent.

Can a 17 year old from ky move in with their real dad that lost custody without her moms consent?

No, you have to wait until you are 18. Until then you are still a minor and your parents or the court choose.

Can you leave your dads home at 16 and move in with your grandpa?

As long as you are a minor you can only move out if you have your parents permission. Even if it is to a relative. If it was your mom you would be at a age to choose but that is not regarding any other relative.

If you are 17 and had a baby with a 22 yr old what kind of trouble could you get into if you run off and get married without your parents' consent?

Hi there If you are asking this question (I am Canadian) then I take it your State does not accept this without parental consent. You could get into trouble, but the worst that could happen is your parents could have the police locate you, bring you home and get a restraining order against your baby's father. You are very young hon, and I hope you are sure this is what you want. Isn't it better to live with your parents or a relative and allow your boyfriend to visit his own child, wait until you are sure what you want and then get married? I hope you will reconsider. Good luck (no matter what you choose to do) Marcy

In North Carolina can a 16 year old choose who they want to live with even if it isn't a relative?

i dont think so If you have parental consent, then yes it is possible to live with whom you chose. If you are a ward of the court, orphaned or for other reasons with out parents, it is only possible if the non-relative adopts the minor. If the minor has parents and wishes to find other accommodations against the wishes of the parents, the only method for allowing such a move is to obtain a court ordered emancipation.

Can a 14 year old child move out and live with their grandparents with no parent signature?

Literally, yes. The parents don't need to officially sign anything as long as this is an informal arrangement that everyone is happy with. It's probably a good idea to go ahead and make it official so that school officials know where the child should be going to school, but until someone complains, this will work. Now, if the parents object, it's a completely different matter. A child is not allowed to live with anyone, not even a relative, without the consent of either the parents or a court.

What happens to you if your parents are divorced?

you can either be happy about it (i highly doubt it), or you can choose which parent to live with, or live with a different relative
