A 2003 Chevrolet Impala typically has four oxygen sensors. There are two upstream (pre-catalytic converter) sensors and two downstream (post-catalytic converter) sensors. I dont believe the Impala 2003 uses a DPFE sensor as part of there Emissions system.
An 01 impala only has to meet the emissions requirements in effect on the date of manufacture. It does not have to meet more recent, more stringent standards.
They are located before and after the catalytic converters in the exhaust system.
It has oxygen sensors before and after the catalytic converter.
According to the Impala Forum the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump module, and the unit is housed in the gas tank. Filter is replaced when the pump is replaced. Hope this helps. :)

There is only one and it is located in the side tank of the radiator.
