If a Toyota 22R motor has the cam timing 1 tooth advanced will it load up at idle but run fine at higher speeds and get terrible fuel milage?

Any engine advanced (especially one tooth) will start and idle awesome, but run like crap at high RPM. Remember, at higher RPM, the engine will want to "anticipate" a cylinder compression stroke and will want to spark "in advance". However, at idle, igniting the mixture just past (retarded) TDC will prove to offer a very smooth idle.
