hi, i am a highly respected horse/pony rider.
ponies are ponies until the reach the height of 14.3hh.
this means that your/ the 14.2hh is a pony, no matter what breed. :)
When a horse is born, it is called a "foal." Then, when it gets a bit older, it is called a "miniature horse." this is the age where you can tell what gender it is. Then, after being a miniature horse it grows into a horse or a pony. Hope I helped!
a minature horse is called a minature horse or a minature pony it can also be called by it's name
Yes, but if the miniature is a mare, then no, the developing foal would kill her if she gave birth.
No Miniature isa horse BREED its probably the smalllest horse breed gestation is when a mare (girl horse) is pregent and careieing a baby foal
Miniature bred to over 15hh = Foal mature 14hh-15.3hh Miniature bred to Galloway (13.2hh - 14.3hh) = Foal mature 13hh and under OR 14.3hh Miniature bred to 13hh and under = Obviously, foal will mature 13hh or under Sometimes, though, the results will be different, depending on the genes of the horses bred, and the size. It would be extremely hard on a miniature mare to a carry a foal sired by a full sized stallion so it would have to be a miniature stallion with a full sized mare. Shetland ponies vary in size so it would really depend.

The length of a foal at birth is not often recorded, but it typically varies according to what breed the foal is and if it was carried to full term. Length can also be affected based on whether the foal was a twin or not, as twins tend to be fairly small. For example a miniature horse (not to be confused with a small pony or Shetland) may only be a foot long at birth, while a draft foal could be several feet in length.
A male foal is called a colt. A female is a filly.
no a foal is a newborn (baby)horse so therefore a foal is not a boy horse.
Baby horses called 'foals' can weigh 20 pounds for a miniature horse foal, all the way up to 250 pounds for a draft foal. An 'average' foal from a light breed typically weights around 100 pounds at birth.
