It is possible
An air conditioner if functioning as air warmer or air chiller can be called as a type of heat pump. If an air conditioner is working as an air de-humidifier then it no more a heat pump.
no power to air conditioner pump but snow flak light comes on and fan runs
The thermostat tells the air conditioner to pull in air. The air then goes through cooling lines in to the house. goes through the vents and out through the registers in the rooms of the house.
no
No, the oil will run out of the compressor causing it to seize. An air conditioner can be stored on it's side but if it is allow 24 hours before starting it.
The ac compressor may be seized or about to seize up.
sure why not
its called a heat pump
Sorry about the ignorant answer someone left. Yes A heat pump is also an Air Conditioner.
NO If the unit is on its side or upside down, the oil can run out of the compressor and it will seize up. They do make a vertical air conditioner to fit into the taller windows which open side to side.
If you have it in the defroster mode, the AC pump will run. This is normal.
You need a vacuum pump designed for that purpose.
