If i update the software wondershare filmora on my computer do i lose my project that am working on or can i continue making my project i am working really hard on this project so i would hate to lose?

I dont think that you will lose the projects. The project files are saved on your computer. after upgrading the software, it will pick up the files from the same location.
In my case, I once uninstalled the filmora from my computer. After few days, I re-installed it with upgraded filmora X. when I click on open projects, I found the old projects which I created with filmora 9 also.
So i think, upgrading will not make any effect on saved projects.
