Well, you have to look at the context! The scripture actually does not say that only 144,000 Jews go to heaven. What the scripture says is that 144,000 Jews are SEALED. These Jews are sealed for the purpose of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ during the tribulation period. The reason that they needed to be SEALED is because their enemy, Satan, has super natural powers where he seeks to destroy them and stop them from sharing the gospel. The 144,000 Jews are set apart to do the work of God.

If you read even more in Revelation, you see that a "GREAT MULTITUDE" from all tribes and tongues and nations stand before the throne of God. Several times throughout scripture you see all peoples who have confessed Christ as savior in Heaven.

Revelation is a difficult book to understand, this is true, but if you read it with the following in mind, it makes A LOT of sense...

This is designed to teach you how to pull out the facts and examine context through the nature of Scripture, and how to avoid presumptions and fallacies that lead to false teaching, because God's Word speaks for itself.

This is taking what is said and finding out what does the text mean so I know what I need to learn. How to interpret The Bible correctly and literally from the correct context, word meanings and genre (type of language). Our goal is to never take out of God's Word what is not there, or read in our will, ideas, presumptions, assumptions as His!

Third is Application:

This is taking the plain meaning from God's Word and putting it to practical use. This is about, 'how shall I respond' to the Word. What sin to get rid of, what commands to yield too, the pitfalls to avoid, what I need to be and do, what area I need to discover and grow in, the actions to engage in, and the promises we are to keep, what is God calling me to do?
