It should not explode. With what would the oxygen combust? About 20% of the air is oxygen. Oxygen does not readily combine with itself.
However, if you put a spark into a cup of liquid hydrogen, I bet it would react rather violently. And there is a YouTube video of a fellow igniting charcoal with liquid oxygen. The oxygen does not explode, but the fire burns the charcoal really well. And the barbecue. And eventually the ground below the grill.
being lit, with the flame blown out, leaving an ember at the tip. Upon exposure to high concentrations of oxygen, the glowing ember flares and gives a flame.
For testing oxygen(PURE),you can use a glowing splint. If it relights,it is PURE oxygen. For testing oxygen(EXIST),you can use a burning splint,if it burns more brightly,it contains of oxygen.~Other ways to test different gas~Carbon dioxide:for testing carbon dioxide, you can use lime water and hydrogencarbonate indicator. If the hydrogencarbonate indicator turns from red to yellow,it contains of carbon dioxide. If the lime water changes from milky to colourless,it contains of carbon dioxide as well. These reaction dunn appear in oxygen and nitrogen.Nitrogen:If you have tested a gas with hydrogencarbonate indicator, lime water, burning splint,as well as glowing splint.Still it has no reaction. Then it is nitrogen cause it is a very unreactive gas.Do you know how to test for water and water vapour?Use a dry cobalt paper!if it turns to pink from light blue,it contains of water and water vapour:-)You can also breath to test for oxygen.
No, being a liquid the gasoline puts out the cigarette before it can ignite. Yet if there is enough gas vapor in the air, that could possibly light before the cigarette is put out. But most often ignition requires a flame not a burning ember. Check it out on myth busters

A burning wooden splint has a visible flame at its burning end while a glowing wooden splint has glowing ember at its glowing end. Placing a glowing splint in a container with oxygen will cause it to burst into flames and become a burning splint.
ember
Ember is a small part of glowing wood, which is still burning. If it is burning for a while it is a piece of coal. It is found near a campside fire, that is still glowing.
An ember colour is a glowing hot coal, greatly heated wood, or other carbon-based material that remains after, or sometimes precede a fire.
being lit, with the flame blown out, leaving an ember at the tip. Upon exposure to high concentrations of oxygen, the glowing ember flares and gives a flame.
Lol, I can only think of "Ember" and that's for a girl. Embers are the glowing flecks left in a fire once it has burnt out.
Any stars less massive than our sun do not explode in a supernova. They will slowly cool down and burn out forming an "ember" (a.k.a. white dwarf).
ClassicFlame Electric Fireplaces provide a realistic flame effect with five flame settings and heat settings. On or off, the logs and ember bed look realistic and glowing.
Matt Ember's birth name is Matthew Adam Ember.
Ember Trail is near Mt. Ember, where Moltres is. Ember Trail is also located on One Island.
A word that is the same as ember is cinder. An ember is a small piece of burning coal.
