increase
Demand for coffee in Pakistan is at an all time high. There are many cafes opening in Pakistan and more and more people are socializing with friends over a coffee.
Change in either demand or supply will cause change in both price and quantity. Suppose people started seeing this headline everywhere: “Medical researchers discover that drinking coffee has immediate health benefits.” What do you expect would happen to the price and quantity of coffee that is exchanged in the market? The news might alter consumer tastes for coffee and lead to an increase in the demand for the drink. As demand increases, the quantity that consumers are willing and able to purchase at every price increases. Because coffee is relatively scarce and its producers face increasing marginal cost, the equilibrium price and quantity of coffee will rise in response to the increased demand.
Coffee is inelastic, based on the high number of people who enjoy, and believe they can't get along without coffee, it's demand will remain high. Pricing changes won't seriously influence sales.
Packaged drinking water. People have begun to prefer tap water as it is more environment friendly
people will probley drink less coffee and but some today to stock up for later. More on this Sales of coffee would rise dramatically as people rush to stock up. This may appear to be good for the coffee companies however the sales in the following weeks and months would drop dramatically especially if those expected price increases failed to happen. This would affect the producers ability to provide the freshest possible product as store shelves would not need restocking as quickly as usual. Tinned or prepackaged coffee would not suffer as bad as fresh roast suppliers. This unusual blip in sales would also affect the long term sales forecasts the following year and coffee producers may fail to reach projected targets which are set based on last years numbers.
Your answer depends. A substitute good means a good with increasing demand when the price of another good increases. A complimentary good means a with increasing demand when the price of another good decreases. Examples: Substitute - Two types of coffee (Deer coffee and Starbrand coffee). If the price of Deer coffee increases, then the demand of Starbrand coffee will increase. Complimentary - Hot dogs and hot dog buns. If the price of hot dogs decreases, then the demand of hot dog buns will increase. Compared to Pepsi, Coke is a substitute good. If the price of Coke rose drastically, then more people would buy Pepsi instead (demand for Pepsi would increase).
If the wages of coffee-bean pickers fell, coffee-bean companies would be able to hire more of them, because they could afford it. More workers can produce more coffee-beans, so supply increases. In this problem, it is implied that tea is a substitute good for coffee. If the price of tea fell, but the price of coffee stayed the same, people would switch to tea, to save a couple bucks. Demand for tea goes up, demand for coffee goes down.
In a financial market, the demand is caused largely by speculative factor where when people see stock rises, they would expect it to rise further therefore demanding more of that good, which in turn does make it higher (due to high demand and fixed short run supply.) The same thing happen when the stock prices decrease, people expect it to decrease further and so sell their stocks in which will make the price goes down (due to increased supply and reduced demand.)
People cannot quit drinking coffee even though they want to cut down on caffeine intake.
The answer is no. People who expect or demand courtesy or consideration show ignorance to others. They are more selfish than selfless which means that they care more about their needs than the needs of those around them. Respect, courtesy, and consideration is earned by living as an example of one that shows these things. It is not just given. These kind of people do not exhibit the same qualities as they demand because they choose to demand it with such inconsideration to other people's feelings and needs. How can one demand respect when they clearly cannot give it? This is not an opinion, this is a pure fact. I do not say this because of a disliking for these people, but because I put myself in that position before, and it was one of the biggest mistakes in my life to allow myself to be influenced by one of those people as a child. Just putting yourself into such a position will give you a clear understanding of these people.
If people expect inflation, they are more inclined to spend than save money which will lose its value. A surge in demand will cause an an increase in prices (because demand exceeds supply) and voila! Inflation.
they don't necessarily eat allot of packaged food especially people out of the city but otherwise they only eat it because its convenient
