It's the type of acid, not the fact that it's acid. I wouldn't drink battery acid but I would drink citric acid (Orange Juice).
Stomach Acid is Hydrochloric Acid mixed with other substances. The pH of hydrochloric acid is pH = 1. So it is a lot more acidic than a soda drink. Heaven forbid, but when you vomit, that horrible burning sensation is the hydrochloric acid from your stomach, refluxing into your throat/mouth.
Soda is typically acidic due to ingredients like carbonic acid and phosphoric acid. However, the exact pH level can vary depending on the type of soda and other ingredients present.
When a drink is carbonated, the gas carbon dioxide is dissolved in water. When carbon dioxide interacts with the dissociated hydrogen molecules of the water, it forms carbonic acid, thus lowering the pH of the soft drink. Since aluminum cans may change the flavor of soda a bit, production companies may add more carbon to the solution to make it more acidic and fizzy, masking the trace flavor of metal.
Soda contains the weak acid carbonic acid.
No, bicarbonate soda (baking soda) and citric acid are different compounds. Baking soda is a base, while citric acid is an acid. When combined, they can react to create carbon dioxide gas, leading to leavening in baking.
tonic water
no it is just drink ur pop (soda) and ur safe
sprite because it is a light soda drink so it dose not have the dark compounds in them,
It gets cleaner because of the weak acid that is in the soda we drink.
No. It is never 'good' to drink soda. But if you refuse to give it up, then at least don't drink it when your health is low. If your throat hurts, pouring acid down it (which is what soda is - chemicals and acid) won't help! It will hinder your body's ability to recover and will keep your throat sore longer. Hope that helps!
A solution of one heaping teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda in a glass of water.

You can drink some club soda. Or make some soda water with a glass of water and a teaspoon of baking soda. Mix it and drink it while its still fizzling.
A soda is indeed an acid.
No. That is an old wives tale/ urban legend. Soda is acidic but there is not enough acid to alter the body's chemistry. The stomach normally contains acidic contents. Soda has been associated with decreased bone density but that is certainly not due acidity of the blood. We are not sure if it is some other effect of the soda or just that people who drink more soda drink less milk.
how can acid cook something? acid could perhaps slowly disolve a steak... but it's obviously not going to cook it. after all, does your stomach get cooked when you drink soda? i suppose you could boil some soda in a pan and then throw some steak into it... that would cook the steak... but it would have nothing to do with acid.
he doesnt drink soda
