Actuator speed is determined by:
you will hear a rumbling or wining as you drive, especially at speed
I have a Mazda 2001 Tribute and I just replaced the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC). I searched for Idle Speed Control actuator and there does not appear to be one. The IAC is the silver module right on top of the manifold.
Actuator speed is determined by:
Idle speed is not adjustable. If the speed is incorrect you have a computer, sensor, actuator, vacuum leak issue.Idle speed is not adjustable. If the speed is incorrect you have a computer, sensor, actuator, vacuum leak issue.
meter in: regulates the speed of the actuator by controling the amount of fluid entering in to the actuator. meter out: regulates the speed of the actuator by controling the amount of fluid leaving the actuator. bleed off: regulates the speed of the actuator by metering a part of the pump flow to the tank. The lock actuator will need replaced in the door that makes the sound.

Stepper idle speed actuator in carbureted vehicles it is used to control the engine's idling RPM. It also regulates the position of the throttle valve plate.
ISC(IDLE SPEED CONTROL)ACTUATOR. the isc actuator wich is under pcm(powertrain control module) control controls the amount of air entering the intake plenum at idle.
Idle speed is computer controlled and is not adjustable. If the speed is incorrect there is a sensor, actuator, or mechanical failure.
