engine will stall out and run very bad.
map sensor 2000 malibu location
Yes....the MAP sensor tells the computer the amount of pressure or vacuum in the engine. This changes with throttle opening....etc. If the sensor is bad the settings will be bad. The MAP sensor can be tested for free at AutoZone.....and you can just take it in. They don't need it on the car.
misfire ? could be a bad tps sensor or map sensor or maf sensor lol
It sounds like the MAP sensor is bad. Make sure there is no cracks or holes in the vacuum line and if it is fine, replace the MAP sensor.
The location of the map sensor depends on what year of which model car you are asking about.
I would suspect the map sensor is bad.
The MAP sensor is on top of the throttle body. as you are looking at the engine from the front of the car, it is on the right side of the engine. The sensor says "MAP Sensor" on the top of it. very convenient.
It depends on the engine size. Most are located on the intake manifold.
Timing, a bad plug (s), bad plug wires, bad maf sensor, bad map sensor, bad o-2 sensor, bad ign. Module
The TPS is not happy with the readings from the map sensor. More than Likely you have a bad sensor.
Check the vacuum line on the map sensor for dry rot or other damage. If vacuum line on map sensor is in good condition the map sensor itself may be faulty and need replaced. The car will run with either a faulty map sensor or vacuum line. It would just run badly or stall. It might throw a code but not all the time. Also could be an ignition system problem or spark plugs needing replaced or the oxygen sensor may be faulty.
Either the car wont start or, it will not idle right (its going to fell like its going to turn off).
