The New Moon can't be seen at any time of day. In addition, the first quarter moon is just rising at noon, and the third quarter moon is just setting at noon. So practically everything between first quarter and third quarter is below the horizon at noon, and not visible.
Yes New Moon rises at dawn and sets at dusk 1st Quarter Moon rises around noon and sets at midnight Full Moon rises at dusk and sets at dawn 3rd Quarter Moon rises at midnight and sets at noon
If the moon is setting at 6 am, it is likely in its waning gibbous phase. This phase occurs after the full moon and before the last quarter moon, when the illuminated portion of the moon is decreasing.
One lunar month is 29.53 days, the time taken from one new moon to the next. The first quarter is 7.3825 days from the new moon phase, one quarter of the lunar month. That's about 7 days and 8 hours.
The moon transit is the time that the moon crosses an observer's meridian. The time that a moon transit occurs relative to noon depends on the quarter that the moon is in.
That's the "First Quarter" moon, but when you look at it, you see 1/2 of thedisk lit up.The name "First Quarter" means that a quarter of the time has passed fromone New Moon to the next ... technically, 7.38 days. (rounded)
Exactly 50% of the moon is illuminated by the sun at every instant of time (except during a lunar eclipse). From our vantage point on earth, the amount of the illuminated half that we can see at any time changesduring the month."First Quarter" means the first quarter of the moon's entire cycle of phases ... about 7.4 days after the"New Moon". At that time, we see half of the illuminated part of the moon ... you'd call it a "half moon".
During it's normal course of phases, from full moon to last quarter is about a week.
The time period between Full Moon and Third Quarter is usually 7 or 8 days, depending on the actual Full Moon and Third Quarter times.
Nominally midnight.
Dawn.
To make my discussion short, A full moon just has the right aliment time in the phases. For example, if the moon was in first quarter, it would not line up with the earth and sun, thus having no eclipse.
